How to Install a Toilet

Hello guys and gals!

Today we will be covering how to install a toilet bowl. This t
ask is of an intermediate difficulty and takes under 2 hours.

One of the tools you will need is an adjustable wrench, which will help you remove the old toilet. Other tools and supplies you will need in addition to the new toilet will be a replacement wax ring, rubber gloves, hacksaw, a putty knife, a plunger, a bucket, and old rags.

When you have removed the toilet, you will also need to remove the residue left on the wax wring when the old toilet was installed.

It may also be the case that the water supply line may need to be replaced at the same time when you are replacing the toilet. It is definitely recommended to take a look at it so that you can replace it at the same time, if necessary.

The basic steps to replacing a toilet are:

1) Turning off the water
2) Disconnecting the water supply line
3) Separating the tank and bowl
4) Unbolting the tank and the toilet bowl
5) Removing the old caulk
6) Installing the new wax ring
7) Placing the new toilet on the flange
8) Bolting the toilet bowl to the floor
9) Finally, attaching the toilet tank to the toilet bowl

Hope this has been of help!
