Radiant Heating Systems: Installation Cost, Installation Time, Other Considerations

Hello Team,
How are you guys doing today? We hope that you all are doing fine during this difficult times. Indeed, we all have been going through much stress and anxiety and uncertainty.
In the last few posts, we have been covering details about how radiant heating systems work with different flooring types, form vinyl to concrete to laminate floors.
Today, we will cover three more topics regarding radiant heating systems.
The first one will be installation costs.
Of course, as in many other things in life, a specific answer is impossible to give. The factors to consider are the type of system that you choose for your home and the size of your home.
As a general rule, installing your radiant floor heating will range between $10 to $30 per square foot. Again, this depends a lot on the type of system that you want to install and the difficulty of the installation. In addition to this labor part, you will also need to pay an electrician to connect the system to your hour's power supply. This step can run another $500.
Installation Time
The installation time will vary depending on the type of radiant heating system that you have. An electric underfloor heating system can take between one or two days so that the compound on top of the heating system dries up and you can then add the floor covering.
As for water based floor radiant heating systems, the time it takes to get everything ready is around a week.
Floor Height
One important fact to talk about is the floor height. Adding a radiant heating system can add about 1/2 inches. However, there are systems that allow for installation without adding to
o much height.
