Faucets and Supply Tubes - How to Connect Them

In order to connect your faucets with the supply tubes, you will need the following tools:

- Adjustable Wrenches
- Cleaning pails

In addition, you will need the supply lines.

The time required for this project is about 2 to 4 hours and the difficulty level is for beginners.

Here are the steps:

1) The first step is to turn off the water. This can be done by using the shutoff valves that are located under the sink. You can also use the shutoff valve located at the main water supply.

2) The second step consists of attaching the connectors to the faucet, unless they are already attached to the faucet.

3) The third step is to attach the faucet. This is accomplished by inserting the tailpieces and supply connectors. Then, one has to secure the faucet to the sink using a rubber gasket and retainer ring.
Use your fingers to tightening the nut without applying too much force that could damage the counter top.

4) The fourth step consists of applying teflon tape or thread sealant to wrap all male threads, and connecting the red-coded and blue-coded supply lines to the shutoff valves.

5) The final tests consists on checking for any leaks.  Turn on the water and make sure all connections are sealed tightly.
